Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

 

Arrive at Noi Bai international airport. Welcomed by Trans-Indochina tour guide and car, being transferred to hotel in Hanoi for check in. Overnight in Hanoi

 

Day 2: Hanoi City Tours - night train to Lao Cai

 

hanoi one pagodaBreakfast in hotel then transfer to visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, His House on stilts One Pillar pagoda nearby. Continue with the Temple of Literature - Vietnam's first college. Visit Hoan Kiem lake, Ngoc Son temple, Tran Quoc pagoda, Quan Thanh temple. Cyclo ride around the old quarter streets (Electricity car is optional). Transfer to train station the night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train (A/C soft sleeper cabin).

 

Note: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays and close for maintenance from October to January yearly

 

Day 3: Lao Cai - Sapa

 

Arrival to Lao Cai station at 05:00 am. Having breakfast in the local restaurant in Lao Cai town then transfer to Sapa. Trekking down to Lao Chai village to visit the Tay and Dzay tribes and have a picnic lunch on the way then keep going along the bottom of the Sapa valley to get to Ta Van village, which is supposed to be the most beautiful one in the area. Overnight in Sapa.

 

Day 4: Sapa - Lao Cai - Night train to Hanoi

 

Breakfast in hotel then heading up to Giang Ta Chai village of the Red Zdao tribe. Heading down to Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages of Black H'Mong tribe. Enjoy the waterfall in Cat Cat and beautiful scenery along the way. Transfer to Lao Cai for the night train to Hanoi. Overnight on train.

 

Day 5: Hanoi - Halong (Lunch + Dinner)

 

Arrive Hanoi around 5:00 am in the morning. Transfer to the hotel for breakfast and luggage. Then, leave for Halong Bay . Arriving Ha Long Bay at lunch time and boarding the boat. Having lunch on boat then visiting Thien Cung cave, Dau Go cave, Dog island, Sail island, Head islet. Dinner and Overnight on boat.

 

Day 6 : Halong - Hanoi

 

Breakfast on boat then continuing to cruise to visit Tortoise island, Toad island, Bai Tho mountain. Back to Ha Long wharf then transfer to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

 

Day 7: Hanoi - Hue

 

Breakfast in hotel then transfer to Noi Bai airport for flight to Hue. Afternoon, visit the Imperial Citadel, the ruins of the Purple Forbidden City. Visiting Dong Ba Market and enjoying the dinner cruise on the Perfume river with the traditional Hue's folk songs. Overnight in Hue.

 

Day 8: Visiting Pagoda and Royal Tombs

 

hue-royal-tomb-1Breakfast in hotel then taking a morning cruise on the Perfume River to visit royal Tomb of King Tu Duc, Thien Mu pagoda and Tomb of King Minh Mang, in a setting of gardens and lakes. Overnight in Hue.

 

Day 9: Hue - Danang - Hoi An

 

Breakfast in hotel then heading south to Hoi An - the ancient town recognized as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Continue toward Hoi An ancient town, which was originally a trade seaport influenced down centuries by traders from other countries. Overnight in Hoi An.

 

Day 10: Hoi An - My Son Holy Land

 

hoi-an-chinese-house-indochinaBreakfast in hotel then strolling around the town, visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Pottery Museum, Tan Ky old house, the Cantonese congregation, the silk street of Hoi An, the temples and pagodas of Chinese appearance. In the afternoon- visit Myson Santuary - another Wolrd Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Back to Hoi An for overnight.

 

Day 11: Hoi An - Danang - Nha Trang

 

Breakfast in hotel then departing for Danang for a visit of Cham Museum, home to Vietnam's largest collection of Cham culture treasures. Transferring to Danang airport for flight to Nha Trang. Arriving Cam Ranh airport then transfer to hotel in Nha Trang for overnight.

 

Day 12: Islands in Nha Trang

 

Breakfast in hotel then taking the boat to visit Tri Nguyen Aquarium on Mieu Island, Mun Island . Visit a fishing village and taking a fresh lunch at the island. On the way back you will be able to see caves in which the sea swallows make their nest. Overnight in Nha Trang.

 

Day 13: Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City

 

Breakfast in hotel then transfer to Cam Ranh airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). City tour to the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam during Vietnam war, and some French architectures like the Notre Dame cathedral, the Old Central Post Office. Touring of Chinatown and Thien Hau pagoda. Visiting the Emperor Jade Pagoda and the War Remnants Museum and Ben Thanh market. Overnight in Saigon.

 

Day 14: Tay Ninh - Cu Chi Tunnels

 

Heading west to Tay Ninh, head quarter of Cao Dai religion - a mixture of the Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. On the way back a stop for a visit Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground tunnels network constructed by V.C during the Vietnam War. Returning to Saigon for overnight.

 

Day 15: Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta

 

Breakfast in hotel then driving to the Mekong Delta, take the motorized boat to visit the Cai Be floating market, roaming into the villages to vexperience the daily lifes of the local people, enjoy the fresh fruit in the orchards. Overnight in Saigon.

 

Day 16: Departure

 

Breakfast in hotel then at leisure until transfer to Tan San Nhat airport for departure flight. End of the tour.
