MEKONG DELTA CYCLING

Itinerary: Mytho - Ben Tre - Tra Vinh - Can Tho - Cai Rang Floating Market - Ha Tien - Chau Doc - Cao Lanh (9 Days)

Day 1: Sai Gon - My Tho - Ben Tre

From Saigon, transfer to Tan An where we will start riding through rice fields to My Tho. Embarking a boat to orchards, visiting bee farm, coco candy work shop. Overnight in My Tho.

Day 2: Ben Tre - Tra Vinh

Starting our ride in the country side passing rice fields to arrive Tra Vinh. Visiting Kh'mer pagoda and Oc Om Bok pond. Overnight in Tra Vinh.

Day 3: Tra Vinh - Can Tho

Biking to the most beautiful pagodas of Tra Vinh. Continuing to Can tho. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 4: Can Tho - Rach Gia

Boat trip to Cai Rang floating market - the biggest floating market in Mekong delta. Transfer to Vi Thanh and start cycling onto Rach Gia. Overnight in Rach Gia.

Day 5: Rach Gia - Hon Trem

Ride along the coastline heading west to border town of Ha Tien. Passing a few mangrove swamps, beaches and rice fields. Overnight in Hon Trem - Ha Tien.

Day 6: Hon Trem - Ha Tien

Having a short tour to Hang Pagoda. In the afternoon cycling to Ha Tien town where we visit Ha Tien Cape and Temple of Mac Cuu - the founder of Ha Tien.

Day 7: Ha Tien - Chau Doc

Riding along Vinh Te border canal to Tinh Bien town, visit to Ba Chuc Cave - well known as “killing field” in 1979 War with Khmer Rouge. Riding to the foot of the sacred Sam Mountain with its panoramic view over the plains of the Mekong Delta and into Cambodia.

Day 8: Chau Doc - Cao Lanh

Rising early for a boat ride through floating fish farms to a small Khmer village. Then continue driving to Long Xuyen. Overnight in Long Xuyen town

Day 9: Long Xuyen - Saigon

Start cycling to Cao Lanh then transfer back to Saigon. End of the tour.
