Day 1: Hanoi arrival
Arrival Hanoi TG 864 at 19:40. Transfer to Hotel. Overnight in Hanoi
Day 2 : Hanoi city tour – night train to Lao Cai (Breakfast)
Breakfast in hotel then start to Hoan Kiem Lake (Sword Lake) and Ngoc Son Temple in an islet in Hoan Kiem Lake. Then continue to Ho Chi Minh Museum, Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh stilt-house and One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature – the symbol of Vietnam culture. Taking a cyclo tour (rickshaw) to visit the Old Quarter in the afternoon to see the life of the old Hanoi.
Transfer to the Hanoi Railway Station to take the night train to Lao Cai – the nearest station to Sapa tourist town. Overnight on train.
Day 3: Lao Cai – Sapa (Breakfast)
Arrive Lao Cai station then the car will transfer to Sapa. Having breakfast in hotel then leaving the luggage in the hotel then back to Sapa town to visit the Saturday market in the centre of town.
Early afternoon, the guide takes you to visit Cat Cat village of the Black H’mong and Dzay people and the Cat Cat waterfall. There, you will have a chance to see the hydroelectric power station built by the French in early 20th century.
Day 4 : Sapa – Bac Ha – night train to Hanoi (Breakfast)
Early breakfast in hotel then start the trip to Bac Ha town where there is a colourful market filled with many different hill-tribe peoples held on Sundays. Leave the market for the H'mong King's house (King Hoang A Tuong). Visiting Ban Pho village – a famous village which make the best alcohol in the region. Get back to Lao Cai station. By the way, visit the border between China and Vietnam. This is one of the biggest border gates between Vietnam and China. Transfer to the railway station for the night train back to Hanoi. Overnight on train.
Day 5 : Hanoi arival – Halong Bay (Breakfast + lunch + dinner)
Ariving Hanoi railway station at about 5.30 am then transfer to hotel for breakfast and relaxing. Transfer to Ha Long city at about 8.30.
Arriving Ha Long Bay at lunch time and boarding the boat. Having lunch on boat then visiting Thien Cung cave, Dau Go cave, Dog island, Sail island, Head islet. Dinner and Overnight on boat.
Day 6 : Halong - Hanoi (Breakfast)
Breakfast on boat then continuing to cruise to visit Tortoise island, Toad island, Bai Tho mountain. Back to Ha Long wharf then transfer to Hanoi.
Transfer to Noi Bai airport for flight to Hue (VN 247 19.30-20.30). Check in hotel at night.
Day 7 : Hue – Danang – Hoi An (Breakfast)
Breakfast in hotel then visit the Imperial Citadel with Ngo Mon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, Royal Theater..., the ruins of the Purple Forbidden City.
In the afternoon, transfer to Hoi An - the ancient town recognized as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Continue toward Hoi An ancient town, which was originally a trade seaport influenced down centuries by traders from other countries. On the way enjoying the marvelous scenery and the stunning Hai Van Pass (Sea Cloud Pass). Visiting Danang city on the way and stop to visit the Cham Museum – home to Vietnam's largest collection of Cham culture treasures.
Transfer to visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Pottery Museum, Tan Ky old house, the Cantonese congregation, the silk street of Hoi An, the temples and pagodas of Chinese appearance.Overnight in hotel in Cua Dai Beach.
Day 8 : Hoi An – Danang – Saigon (Breakfast)
Breakfast in hotel then transfer to Danang airport for the flight to Saigon VN 323 12.30 – 13.40 (Ho Chi Minh City). Met by tour guide in Tan Son Nhat airport then transfer to hotel in city centre for check in. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 9 : Saigon City Tour (Breakfast)
Tour guide will take you from hotel to Reunification Palace (Former Presidential Palace of South Gouvernment) that was built in 1963 and is well-known as an outstanding example of 1960’s architecture, passing by Notre Dame Cathedral (built in 1877) and the General Post Office – the symbol of French architecture in early 20th century.
In the afternoon you will visit Giac Lam pagoda that was built in 1744 and is regarded as the oldest pagoda in Ho Chi Minh City. You will also see Thien Hau pagoda built in early 19th century, the famous Chinatown, Binh Tay market, and Ben Thanh market in town centre. With a stop for a while at a lacquer shop. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 10 : Mekong Delta – Chau Doc town (Breakfast)
Breakfast in hotel then transfer to the Mekong Delta, cross the My Thuan Bridge and passing Sa Dec. Continue to Chau Doc town. Check in the hotel. Overnight in Chau Doc.
Day 11 (Tue 12 December 2010) Chau Doc – Phnom Penh – Flight to Siemreap (Breakfast)
After breakfast visitors will go to the Victoria boar dock for a speed boat to head towards Phnom Penh. Arrive in the Cambodian capital at around 14:00 at the Sisowath tourist dock.
Begin your tour of this charming capital with a visit to Wat Phnom - founded in 1373, the pagoda was built to house Buddhist relics washed ashore by the river. Visit the Royal Palace built in 1866 by King Norodom. Visit the Silver Pagoda so named because of its floor that is comprised of 5,000 silver tiles. A gold Buddha encrusted with 9,584 diamonds and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha. Continue to the nearby National Museum with hundreds of pieces are housed here including both pre-and post-Angkorian pieces.
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Siemreap (FT996 18:20-19:00 )
Day 12 : Siemreap (Breakfast)
We will start exploring Angkor Wat: Visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. In the afternoon, we head to Srah Srang, Ta Prohm, Takeo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda temples and view the sunset from Phnom Bakheng hill. Overnight in Siem Riep
Day 13 : Departure (Breakfast)
Breakfast in hotel then transfer to airport for departure flight.
